Membership FAQs

Who is membership for?
Who can become a member?

Anyone. Our membership is made up of farmers, landowners, vets, retailers, butchers, processors, chefs, and anyone interested in buying and backing pasture-raised produce.


Do I have to be certified to become a member?

No. Many farm and retail businesses choose to certify their animals or produce as 100% Pasture for Life, but this is not a requirement of membership.


Can I sign up my employee or team member for membership?

Yes. Please create an Unlimited Membership account for each team member. If you'd like to sign up five or more team members, contact our Membership Manager, Bryony, using our contact form to discuss Enterprise Membership.


Can I be a member if I live outside of the UK?

Yes. Membership is open to anyone, although on-farm events take place in the UK. Our webinars and research might be of most interest to you.


Fees
Do you offer a student discount?

Yes. Simply send us your student ID details (Young Farmers Card, SOS UK, or other student ID) to your Membership Manager, Bryony, using our contact form and she'll send you a discount code.

 

I’m a student. Can I interview or send a survey to members for my research?

Yes. Become a member for £30 p/a with our student discount. You can then post your request on our community forum or regional WhatsApp groups and have your survey or research shared in our newsletter (10,000+ readers). 


Do you offer group memberships for farming or discussion groups?

Yes. We can create a custom package for your group, including memberships, resources, mentoring, and more. Contact our Membership Manager, Bryony, using our contact form to get started.


What happens when my membership expires?

Membership is available on a subscription basis. Your membership will auto-renew either every month or every year, depending on the option you have selected. We will send you an email the month before your annual membership expires to remind you of the renewal.


Can I cancel my membership at any time?

Memberships are available on a subscription basis. If you have opted for monthly payments, then we will cancel your membership at the end of your last paid-for month. For annual subscriptions, we will cancel your membership at the end of your last paid-for year.


What happens if I cancel my membership?

If you cancel your paid membership, then we will automatically move you to a free, Flexible membership. Please email your Membership Manager, Bryony, if you would like to be removed from our membership entirely. Please Note: If you are a Certified Producer or Approved Business and you wish to cancel your membership, you will be liable for the Certification License Fee that you receive for free through membership.

How do I reset my password?

Click the purple person icon in the top right-hand corner of our website. Select 'recover your password' and follow the steps provided.


How do I update my contact details?

Log in to your account. In your Personal Dashboard, click on Personal Information in the left-hand navigation and update your details.


Marketing and promotion
If I am a member, can I use the Pasture for Life logo?

No, unless you are certified too. The Pasture for Life logo is for Certified Producers and Approved Businesses to use. Find out more about certification and our certification standards.


I'm a member. Can you help promote my event, research, job vacancy, or other activity?

Yes. We love to promote the work of our members and do so in monthly roundups if what you are offering could benefit the wider membership. Please email your Membership Manager, Bryony, using our contact form with as much lead time as possible.


I work for a business that would like to partner with Pasture for Life. Who should I contact?

We welcome partnerships with businesses that share our values. Please email our Membership Manager, Bryony, using our contact form.

Where can I find member product discounts?

We regularly share exclusive discounts on products and services for members. Log into your personal dashboard to access them.


When are in-person events happening near me?

Go to our 'What's on' page and filter by region or nation: Scotland, North East, North West, Yorkshire and the Humber, East Midlands, West Midlands, Eastern England, Greater London, South East, South West, Wales, Northern Ireland.
